Bell Delivers First Certified 412 to China

Bell Helicopter delivered a Bell 412EPI to Chongqing General Aviation, saying the aircraft “is the first certified” 412 to operate in China. The new helicopter will be used for firefightingand was outfitted with a water tank, Bambi bucket, hoist, cargo hook, radar altimeter, and searchlight. Here, Chongqing General Aviation Chairman Gong Wei accepts the new aircraft from Chad Nimrick, general manager of Bell’s Piney Flats, Tenn. Customization and Delivery Center. Established in April 2012 by the Chongqing General Aviation Group, the operator provides services that include tourism, air ambulance, forestry support, aerial advertising, agriculture support, aerial photography, VIP flights, law enforcement support, firefighting, and charters. Its aircraft includes two Bell 407GXs. Chongqing General Aviation is working towards becoming a Bell Customer Support Facility. Its a long-term goal is to be the largest provider of third-party helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul services in China.
