Columbia Helicopters has refurbished and delivered three Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopters to the Royal Moroccan Air Force as part of an extensive military maintenance contract. Morocco obtained the former U.S. Army aircraft under a Foreign Military Sales contract in Nov. 2014 and selected Columbia to refurbish them at its MRO facility in Aurora, Oregon. The company also repainted the aircraft in Morocco's desert camouflage pattern and applied the military crests, flags and registration information. The final CH-47D was delivered to a Moroccan air force base in late August, where a Columbia crew reassembled and flight tested the whole fleet.
