Reiser Simulation & Training aims to break into the full-flight simulator business with a contract to develop a Level D device for the ADAC HEMS Academy's EC145T2. The Berg, Germany, company began providing components to simulator manufacturers in 1988 and, earlier this decade, decided to compete with manufacturers like FlightSafety International and CAE. The work with ADAC is one of its leading initiatives. Reiser has completed about 80 hours of flight tests with an ADAC EC145T2 air ambulance in August and is now developing the flight model for the simulator, which it aims to put into service in 2017. Reiser's contract with the Sankt, Germany-based academy calls for it to operate the simulator for 15 years.
