Airbus Helicopters plans to deliver the first H125 entirely assembled in the U.S. Tuesday to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The delivery will take place at Airbus’ facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, where the AStar was completed with a law enforcement communications and surveillance package. The helicopter was assembled at the company’s facility in Columbus, Mississippi, which has produced more than 350 UH-72A Lakotas since 2006 for the U.S. Army “on time and on budget,” the company said. The Army recently exercised $65.8 million in contract options for 12 more Lakotas and associated mission equipment packages.
