Canada Military Sends Chinook on Fire Support Mission

A Canadian Armed Forces CH-147F Chinook delivered 8,200 lb of food, water and other supplies to Fort McKay First Nation as part of efforts to support Alberta, Canada's response to wildfires in Fort McMurray. The mission marked the first time the service has operated a Chinook for domestic humanitarian operations. 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron at 4th Canadian Division Support Base Petawawa provided an additional four CH-146 Griffons and one CC-130J Hercules.
