Erickson Inc. has been contracted by Rokstad Power Ltd. for heavy-lift delivery services to Brucejack Mine in Stewart, British Columbia. With the S64 Aircrane, Erickson will transport heavy equipment and moving materials and provide precision placement services. The aircraft will fly about 7,500 tons of materials over elevations of 6,000 ft in mountainous terrain for the construction of electrical transmission towers in addition to lifting and placing towers into position to provide electricity for mining operations.

The company earlier this year said it would provide similar services for an electrical tower construction project in India. It also won several contracts to provide timber harvesting operations in British Columbia.
