Heli-One said it has agreed to upgrade two Sikorsky S-76Bs for the sultan of Johor, Malaysia. The contract calls for the design, certification and installation of a new glass cockpit. The maintenance, repair and overhaul services provider will also install a new custom VVIP interior with custom paint. His Majesty, who recently visited British Columbia, Canada, said he hopes the deal will demonstrate his "commitment to furthering ties between the two states."

Heli-One's recent projects include upgrading the Royal Malaysian Air Forces' S-61 fleet and the Bundespolizei fleet of 18 Airbus AS332s.
Heli-One will be working with ALOFT Aero Architects for the VVIP modification and Universal Avionics to deliver the avionics installation, which includes EFI-890H Advanced Flight Displays and a satellite-based augmentation system-compatible UNS-1Fw flight management system.
