Genesys Aerosystems has received an FAA supplemental type certificate (STC) for the installation of its HeliSAS and two-axis autopilot on Airbus Helicopters EC120s, the company said. Coming more than eight months after applying, the STC issuance adds to existing HeliSAS STCs for Robinson Helicopter R44s and R66s, Airbus EC130s and A250 series, and Bell Helicopter 206B, 206L and 407 models.

The stability augmentation system is for light and medium helicopters, meant to reduce workload and increase safety. It comprises seven primary components: digital flight control computer, HeliSAS control panel, pitch servo, roll servo, installation kit, and attitude gyro or ADAHRS and cyclic control buttons to be purchased separately.
