Product certification, design organization approval and drones will be addressed this week by two EASA-sponsored events. “Product Certification and Design Organisation Approval Workshop” falls on Tuesday and Wednesday. Co-organized by EASA, the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction, and the Polish Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), “Drones as a leverage for jobs and new business opportunities” will take place in Warsaw, Poland.
The workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday will provide attendees an update on EASA DOA working methods and an overview of ongoing rule-making activities. It is completely booked for industry representatives. However, national aviation authorities staff can still register. It’s a new event with a format conducive to extended discussions and question and answer periods.
The high level conference on drones will reportedly involve representatives from EASA, the European Commission, the European Union, the Polish government, scientific research centers, universities, and the drone industry worldwide. This conference serves as a follow-up to the March 2015 conference in Riga, Latvia. Participants will revise conclusions from that conference and discuss the current drone situation. Legislative provisions and the growing industry in Poland and Europe as a whole will also be topics of discussion.
