Pennsylvania-based STAT Medevac is set to take delivery of an Airbus H135 equipped with the company’s Helionix, Airbus said at Heli-Expo. This would make the operator the first to operate the combination. Delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2017.
“STAT MedEvac maintains the highest degree of safety in all our operations, and we are very proud of our safety culture,” said Doug Garretson, STAT Medevac president and CEO. “We are thankful the H135 series continues to evolve, enabling us to operate to the standards we set. We continue to invest in twin-engine, IFR platforms, and the H135 delivers what we need to meet our goals for the product and support.”
Along with the H125 and H130, the H135 was part of a recent survey by Conklin and de Decker on customer satisfaction. The independent survey confirmed “a significant reduction in direct maintenance and direct operating costs,” Airbus said.
Survey findings showed, Airbus said, a 15% decrease of direct maintenance cost and direct operating cost for the Airbus H135. It also showed that the Airbus H125 has a direct maintenance cost that is 8%, and the Airbus H130 has one that is 2%, lower than its closest competitor.
