The FAA and the Assn. for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems International's (AUVSI) UAS (unmanned aerial system) Symposium is slated for March 27 to 29 in Reston, Virginia. Workshops, panels and networking are slated for the three days at the Hyatt Regency Reston.
"The symposium will give stakeholders the opportunity to talk face-to-face with a cross-section of government and industry representatives about regulations, research and other initiatives to integrate UAS into the National Airspace System," the FAA said. "Based on the survey results from last year's Symposium, this year's content focuses on initiatives to overcome technical challenges to safe UAS operations, as well as industry partnerships advancing integration."
A successful event last year has prompted organizers to extend the symposium to a three-day event. Scheduled panelists include representatives from the FAA, Uber, Intel, DJI and more. A resource booth will be available for those who wish for one-on-one technical support on issues concerning regulations and policies.
