Amazon Prime Air has made its first public U.S. delivery via drone this week, news outlets report. Taking place at the company's MARS 2017 gathering. MARS stands for "Machine-Learning Automation, Robotics & Space Exploration." The delivery reportedly consisted of sunscreen.

The MARS conference in Palm Springs, California, is being reported as a top-secret, invite-only event with artificial intelligence at the center of discussion. Amazon's previous drone deliveries have all taken place on private property in the U.S., or overseas. This demonstration reportedly took place at the Palm Springs International Airport.
