Sikorsky said it is expanding its S-92 and S-76TM support services in Asia Pacific, with Thai Aviation Services as the first Sikorsky Customer Support Center in Thailand by the end of this year.

The support center will be the manufacturer's seventh in the region, with 20 total worldwide — giving customers quick access to Sikorsky logistics and spare parts inventory.

Thai Aviation Services operates only Sikorsky helicopters for the oil and gas sector to transport customers to and from the Gulf of Thailand.

The Asia-Pacific region has shown to be a promising area for the industry, with operators in agreement that the market there will improve in the face of uncertainty in the West. Media outlets have highlighted the region's thriving outlook, perhaps even overtaking Europe by 2026.

Sikorsky's announcement came during the inaugural Rotorcraft Asia trade show, held this week in Singapore April 18-20.

“This decision further exemplifies Sikorsky’s commitment to the Asia-Pacific region and to our continued focus on customer support excellence,” said Christophe Nurit, Sikorsky’s regional sales executive of Asia.
