CHC Opens Early Registration for Safety & Quality Summit

Early registration for CHC Helicopter’s Safety & Quality Summit has started, and will be available through May 31. Registrants would get a discount of $100 for the summit, which is to take place in Grapevine, Texas, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.

“Can we truly manage all the risk: What if the barriers are not as robust as they seem?” is the theme for the summit. Discussion would revolve around best practices on how to improve the industry through promoting awareness of safety in human factors. Opening day is to include a plenary session with presentations by Stephen Carver, senior lecturer in project and program management from the Cranfield School of Management, and Dr. Nicklas Dalstrom, human factors manager from Emirates Flight Operations Training. Attendees can register for two post-courses following the summit:

  • The Accident/Incident Investigation course, led by Mark Brosnan, safety and compliance manager for CHC Helicopter. Sept. 30 to Oct. 2
  • The Human Factors (HFACS) course, led by Dr. Scott Shappell, co-developer of the human factors analysis classification system (HFACS). Sept. 30 to Oct. 1.
