170214-N-WV703-103 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Feb. 14, 2017) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Kevin Brodwater, a search and rescue swimmer assigned to the littoral combat ship USS Coronado (LCS 4), is lowered from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter onto the flight deck during a search and rescue medical evacuation drill. Coronado is a fast and agile warship tailor-made to patrol the region's littorals and work hull-to-hull with partner navies, providing the U.S. 7th Fleet with the flexible capabilities it needs now and in the future. The Naval Helicopter Assn. is set to host its NHA Symposium May 15 to 19 at the Bahia Resort in San Diego, California. This year’s theme is multi-mission superiority.

For as much information that will be packed into the event, the association has also scheduled time for networking. Briefings on the Sikorsky Seahawk and Northrop Grumman Fire Scout are scheduled, as are cocktail receptions and a 5-kilometer fun run. Some presentations, including the Commodore/Carrier Air Group (CAG) round table and the OPNAV N98 Bell Boeing CMV-22 update, are to be live-streamed.

Association membership is required for some social events. Membership is not required for admission to the exhibit hall, panels and presentations.
