Bell Helicopter has delivered three Bell 505 Jet Ranger Xs to three Canadian customers, the manufacturer said. The helicopter received a supplemental type certificate (STC) from Transport Canada in December, followed by an FAA STC announced last week. The three 505s were configured for corporate and utility missions.

“The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X is a very economical and highly versatile machine,” said Jason Moir, regional sales manager for Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Ltd. “It has found a niche among a large base of customers who want an aircraft capable of meeting their various lifestyle needs. Its adaptability makes it the ideal aircraft for private owners looking at it as a multi-purpose tool and is the perfect mix of luxury, utility and recreation.”

Bell said this marks its fourth customer delivery to date. The first production 505 was delivered to the OEM’s training academy in February. The first customer delivery was to a U.S.-based customer, announced in March.
