CHC Helicopter said it is launching a Reconciliation Action Plan to promote commitment to reconcile with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people. The plan spans from 2017 to 2019.

The action plan would help inform and drive existing initiatives, and build long-term relationships where native peoples and CHC operations are coexisting.

“While we are still at the beginning of our reconciliation journey, I believe the company is in a position to offer greater two-way opportunities to benefit the local communities in which we work and help us to build our own cultural awareness and knowledge of the places and communities in which we work,” said Vince D’Rozario, regional director for CHC Asia Pacific. “It will also allow us to support the initiatives of our customers.”

The plan, he continued, outlines steps CHC is taking to expand the social and financial inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Click here to view the plan.
