Shadin Avionics has received an EASA supplemental type certificate for its Robinson Helicopter Co. R66 Fuel Flow Management System, the company said.

The certification covers the installation of a RemoteFlo Fuel Flow System on the R66 and Rolls-Royce RR300. With the solution, pilots can access real-time fuel flow management information directly on a GPS or flight management system, Shadin said.

"Receiving the approval from EASA is an important milestone. R66 operators in Europe have not been able to take advantage of the benefit this system provides until now," said Brad Jacobson, certifications and field service manager at Shadin.

The product also allows pilots to see information regarding specific range, fuel to destination, fuel reserve, endurance, fuel used and fuel remaining.
