PhilJets Group said it now operates the only Bell Helicopter 407GX available for charter in the Philippines. It recently took delivery of 407GX, the eighth aircraft in its fleet.
"At the moment, we are in the process of finalizing the preparation for the operational launch. We have invested in training and have added very experienced pilots and technicians that have a strong knowledge of this new type of helicopter,” said Geoffroy Cahen, head of sales and marketing. “In addition, our operations team is continuously receiving international trainings overseas, especially the crew.”
The 407GX is PhilJets’ first Bell aircraft. The company also operates four Airbus Helicopters H130s, one AS350 B2 and two fixed-wing business jets. With the addition of the Bell helicopter, PhilJets said it could now offer two seating configurations.
"Most of our helicopters have forward-facing seat configuration, which are proven to be ideal for tours and sightseeing flights,” said Choy Elciario, lead for air charter sales. “Now, we can offer club seating experience to our customers who prefer having conversations on board.”
The 407GX is powered by a Rolls Royce 250-C47B/8 turbine full authority digital engine control (FADEC) engine. It features five club-passenger seats with an additional passenger seat in the cockpit. The company said it aims to enter its new aircraft into service before the end of the month.
