Safety, Efficiency Highlighted in Helitech Tech Sessions

Technical sessions at this year's Helitech International Oct. 3 to 5 in London will include presentations from Airbus Helicopters, Babcock International Group and Leonardo.

A brief lineup of each session is listed below.


Oct. 3

4 to 4:30 p.m.: Aviation Specialties Unlimited Senior Business Development Manager Kim Harris will tackle the issue of night-vision safety.

12 to 12:30 p.m.: Airbus Helicopters Senior Vice President of Research and Innovation Tomasz Krysinski provides a look into breakthrough technologies.

Oct. 4

12:30 to 1 p.m.: CarteNav Solutions Vice President of Service Scott Richardson will discuss what happens after a helicopter operation is complete.

2 to 2:30 p.m.: Skyguide Senior Manager of Business Development Laurent Deletraz explores benefits in performance-based navigation.

2:30 to 3 p.m.: Universal Avionics Systems Corporation Director of Technical Sales Grady Dees explores open architecture approach to cockpit modernization.


Oct. 5

10:30 to 11 a.m.: Helicopter Association International President and CEO Matt Zuccaro will discuss current challenges in the industry.

11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.: Babcock International Group's David Perez Pinar will reveal the latest tech innovations in remotely piloted aircraft.

11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Leonardo Head of Product Support Engineering and Licenses Maurizio D'Angelo will discuss the company's Heliwise real-time HUMS to improve safety and to save operators money in reduced scheduled maintenance.
