StandardAero’s Associated Air Center (ACC) plans to close its Dallas Love Field facilities at the end of this year, the company said. That location is StandardAero’s Large Transport Category VIP Completions Center.

“After a thorough analysis, StandardAero has concluded that the business case for continuing to operate AAC is no longer an economically viable option for the company and its investors,” said StandardAero. “Current and future work volumes do not support the fixed costs necessary to operate the facility.”

In addition, the company said it did not foresee enough new business in the VIP and VVIP markets. Closing the center would also align with StandardAero’s business plan to expand engine maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities.

To finish out the year, StandardAero said it would be helping employees affected by this closure find new positions within the company, as well as providing redployment and outplacement assistance and services.

StandardAero said it will continue to operate as usual over the next few months to complete contractual obligations and commitments.
