Malaysia-based sales agent Sapura Aero has taken delivery of a new MD Helicopters MD 600N, the manufacturer said. The aircraft is configured with an upgraded and FAA type-certificated glass cockpit and features a single-patient EMS interior from Air Ambulance Technology.

With certification requirements completed in June, MD Helicopters received FAA approval for the MD 600N cockpit upgrade in July. The company said it features:

  • Howell Instruments electronic flight instrument system
  • Garmin G500 (GDU620) primary flight display/multi-function display
  • Garmin GTN 650 Touchscreen navigation/communication/GPS
  • L-3 ESI 500 electronic standby instrument

The aircraft can support up to six different cabin configurations and can be “effortlessly” transitioned between three to support utility, personal transport and air ambulance missions. In a utility configuration, the aircraft can seat up to five passengers: three on the front bench and two aft-mounted club seats.

Sapura Aero has been an authorized MD Helicopter sales and service representative since 2015. It services Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
