The Bell Helicopter 505 Jet Ranger X is now certificated in Argentina. Bell announced via social media yesterday that the Argentina Administracion Nacional de Aviacion Civil accepted the aircraft’s type certification.

Bell’s 505 received type certification from Transport Canada December 2016. It obtained an FAA certification in June.

At Heli-Expo 2017 in Dallas, Texas, it had been announced that a China-based firm was set to become the largest 505 operator. Reignwood Investment is scheduled to receive 50 505s over the next three years, in addition to 10 that it had previously ordered.

The Jet Ranger X is a single-engine helicopter, powered by a dual-channel full-authority digital engine control system Turbomeca (Safran Helicopter Engines) Arrius 2R. According to Bell, it is the first helicopter in its class to feature a fully integrated glass flight deck with the Garmin G1000H avionics suite. The 505 is designed to carry up to four passengers and has more than 1,500 pounds of useful load.
