CHC Group is welcoming some new aircraft. The operator has entered into a lease agreement for a Leonardo AW139 with Lobo Leasing Ltd. and is leasing an Airbus Helicopters H175 from Lease Corp. International (LCI).

Ireland-based Lobo Leasing said the AW139 would be based in Karratha, Western Australia, where it is to support offshore operations. The H175 is to be based out of Aberdeen, Scotland, according to LCI. It would be supporting oil and gas production activities in the North Sea.

LCI recently took delivery of the H175, saying it is the first of the model the company has had in its portfolio.

“We believe that the new CHC is well positioned in the market and we are very pleased to be part of their re-fleeting and growth strategy,” said Michael Platt, CEO of LCI. “With our extensive experience in placing helicopters for use in the oil and gas sector, we are confident we can add value to CHC¹s operations in the long term.”
