A New York City helicopter tour company helicopter crashed into the East River Sunday — killing five passengers. The pilot safely escaped.

The Airbus Helicopters AS350 B2 belonged to Liberty Helicopters, a tourism operator offering 15-minute helicopter rides around major New York city landmarks.


The NTSB is investigating the incident.
