Ukraine to Get 55 Airbus Helicopters for Upcoming Support Unit

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has signed a letter of intent for 55 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters, according to local reports in the nation.

The helicopters will be used in a new support service the ministry plans to launch in 2020 for its national police, national guard and state border guard to carry out rescues and patrol.


The 55 helicopters will include Airbus H225s, H145s and H125s, according to reports. Its current fleet includes Mil Mi-8 and Mi-2 helicopters.
