CNC Technologies has launched CNC Aviation, a new division that will provide sales and leasing of new and used aircraft alongside the company’s existing aviation technology business. The move corresponds to the company’s purchase of an Airbus Helicopters AS350 B2 and strengthens the company’s position as a provider of airborne law enforcement solutions.
CNC acquired the AS350 B2 formerly owned by the Ontario Police Department and will continue to build its fleet through purchases of new and used aircraft. The new division builds upon a year in which the firm landed new contracts with several large state and federal agencies. CNC also saw increasing interest from the capital markets and from investors seeking to partner with the company with the aim of capturing a greater share of the overall government security market.
In addition to helping clients lease or acquire aircraft, CNC Aviation will also work with agencies and OEMs to maximize the value of aircraft they are selling or trading in.
With the introduction of CNC Aviation, the company will be able to sell or lease complete aerial solutions including aircraft, mission suites, fixed receive sites and mobile command posts. The company can deploy any level of solution from implementing a real-time microwave downlink to building out a nationwide counterterrorism network encompassing aircraft, ground-based receive sites, imaging platforms and encrypted communications systems for sovereign state clients.
The CNC Technologies team also has extensive experience supporting Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) projects funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
