Israel-based Steadicopter will unveil the final configuration of its Black Eagle 50 rotary unmanned aircraft system at Eurosatory 2018 next week.

The Black Eagle 50 is a vertical take-off and landing robotic observation system. It is an ideal solution for tactical maritime and land intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance missions.


The system has a steady hovering endurance of up to three hours and flight endurance of up to four hours. The Black Eagle 50 is lightweight and compact at 30 kg. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 35 kg and payload capacity of 3 kg. It has a communication range of up to 100 km and, depending on the client’s requirements, a service ceiling of up to 9,000 ft. Its total length is 2,540 mm while its maximum air speed is 70 kt. It also has a cruising speed of 47 kt.

The Black Eagle 50 is currently in demo mode with various customers around the world. The company is expecting orders from customers in the coming months.
