Bell has delivered the first three of 110 Bell 505 Jet Ranger X to Chinese operator Reignwood International Investment Group Company Ltd. following certification of the aircraft last month by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The company is the launch operator of the 505.
The three delivered helicopters will be used for air tourism, air medical and agriculture missions. Reignwood's chairman said he aims for all its helicopters to be used in the corporate, tourism and utility sectors in China.
Bell is pushing to grow in the region. Other Chinese operators set to receive Bell helicopters include Shaanxi Helicopter Co. Ltd., which purchased 100 Bell 407GXPs last year.
“The arrival of the new Bell 505 Jet Ranger X builds on the success of the renowned Jet Ranger legacy in China,” said Jacinto Monge, Bell managing director for North Asia. “We are excited that customers will now be able to experience the new Bell 505 Jet Ranger X and we are looking forward to seeing many more taking the skies as we continue to grow our footprint in China.”
