Luxembourg has ordered two Airbus Helicopters H145Ms for defense and security missions to be delivered at the end of 2019, the manufacturer said Friday. Airbus will also provide training and support.

The H145M can be used for missions like troop and passenger transport, surveillance, air rescue and more. Luxembourg's helicopters will be equipped with a hoist, a fast-roping system, a high-performance camera, a search light, advanced communication systems and will have provisions to install a light armor protection kit, an Airbus news release said.

The helicopters are expected to enter service in 2020 and will be operated and serviced at Luxembourg Findel Airport.

The 145M was first delivered in 2015 to Germany's armed forces. Hungary, Thailand and Serbia have all placed orders for the model.
