China's unmanned helicopter has reportedly completed its test flights, according to several media reports in China.
The Shenyang Institute of Automation-developed Xiangying-200, unveiled in 2016, is said to be the nation's first large unmanned helicopter that has tested autonomous takeoff and landing on a ship deck.
Reports say its control, power and transmission systems are all developed in China. Should it ever become operational, it could have potential uses for search-and-rescue missions as well as agriculture applications.
China said last year it is also developing an unmanned attack helicopter, the AV500W, it is developing through its state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).
