International helicopter brokerage Rotortrade released its mid-year sales report on Thursday, showing strong results for the first half of 2018.
The company, which was founded in 2012, reported 12 deliveries and 9 backlogs, compared to 26 total helicopter sales in 2017. Sales in 2018 are expected to meet or beat last year’s company record, while “the product mix should favor more twin-engine helicopters, including some heavies,” Rotortrade president Phillipe Lubrano said in a statement.
Rotortrade also reported the signing of three new network agreements, with Mode Aviation in Guatemala, Gualter Helicopteros in Brazil, and a third to be announced.
“We are getting stronger in our home markets of Asia-Pacific, South America, and Europe, and we’re pursuing our growth strategy in these and all regions without losing sight of our low cost and proximity model," Lubrano said.
Rotortrade carries Airbus, Bell, and Sikorsky aircraft, and is the exclusive global distributor of Leonardo’s preowned helicopters. In addition to its Singapore headquarters, the dealer has offices in Los Angeles, Montreal, Mexico City, Paris, and Kuala Lumpur.
Lubrano underscored that Rotortrade is “especially happy with advances in deploying our network and building well-aligned partnerships,” as it continues to pursue its vision of building a globally integrated pre-owned helicopter marketplace.
