Bell announced its Singapore facility has received certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) work on Bell 206, 407 and 429 components, engines, accessories, instruments and radios.

“The CAAC certification is a key milestone for Bell as we expand our service and support offering for our growing fleet in the region,” said Chris Schaefer, General Manager for Bell Asia. “Our focus in Asia-Pacific will be working with our authorized customer service facilities and customers to ensure Bell aircraft are maintained to the highest safety standards.”

Bell Singapore recently received FAA 145 certification to carry out MRO work for Bell 205, 206, 212, 407, 412, 429 and 505 aircraft.

Chinese customers of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X include Tongcheng General Aviation, Aerochine, China Star Aero Investment and Reignwood International Investment Group, the latter of which has ordered a total of 110 Bell 505s.

There are 150 Bell commercial helicopters operating in China today.
